Xenia Christian’s Ryan Malthaner Receives Perfect Score on SAT

Xenia Christian senior, Ryan Malthaner, recently scored a perfect 800 on the critical reading section of the SAT and a 780 out of 800 on the math.

"I feel blessed to have done so well," stated Ryan. His parents, Scott and Sharon Malthaner, said that Ryan prepared for the tests by using an SAT Study Guide and taking practice tests.

ryan-malthanerRyan has been a student at Xenia Christian since his seventh-grade year, where in addition to being an outstanding student, he is involved in golf, National Honor Society, journalism, and tutoring. He has also participated in student mentoring, Student Senate, and school projects at John Sale Manor and with RUGBY. He and his family attend Wright Patterson AFB Chapel 1, where Ryan serves as an usher.

Last year he won the Honda/Ohio State University Math Medal and was, also, chosen as a 2011 Baylor Renaissance Scholar and participated in their Invitation to Excellence.

Ryan has committed to further his education at Baylor, after also considering Southern Methodist and Rice. "We lived in Texas for three years when he was younger," his mother stated, "and he just fell in love with Texas." He will most likely study political science and chemistry with the intent to go on to law school.
