Music Department

High School Ensembles: Band, Choir, & Orchestral Strings
Mrs. Linda Sommers meets daily with the members of each of our high school performing groups. These ensembles perform at least two major concerts per year, plus occasional choir performances for smaller venues. Many students perform in O.M.E.A. or A.C.S.I. adjudicated competitions as well.

7th & 8th Grade Ensembles: Band, Choir, & Orchestral Strings
Mrs. Sommers (band) and Mr. Robert Colaner (choir and string ensemble) train and develop the talents of our 7th and 8th graders. They perform two major concerts each year, and many students perform in O.M.E.A. or A.C.S.I. adjudicated competitions as well.

His Preeminence
Our select vocal ensemble, His Preeminence, performs a full schedule of concerts during the spring. Students prepare the concert selections during their daily rehearsals in January-Term (J-Term).  Please Click Here for detailed information.

Spring Musical Pit Orchestra
Our spring musical is typically accompanied by a live pit orchestra, populated by members of the local community as well as by some of our own students. (Click Here for more information about the Spring Musical.)

Piano Class
High school students may sign up for a daily piano class with Mrs. Linda Sommers.
7th & 8th graders may sign up for a basic piano class two days per week with our principal, Mr. Joseph Batchelor. 

Worship Team
This vocal/guitar/keyboard/drum group is actually not a part of the Music Department, but rather is developed through the Principal's Office via the Chapel Coordinator. Students in this group prepare to lead worship music as part of our weekly high school chapel.
